What is it:

The Cockle Bay Amazing Race is a brilliant event in a spectacular part of town. It is the flattest of our routes and people of any fitness level can complete it with ease. It is a circular course including the precinct around the Imax, the Chinese Gardens, Darling Harbour and the Pyrmont Bridge.

We can also start at Dockside, under Pyrmont Bridge or at Tumbalong Park (please enquire about these requirements)

Particularly suited to companies on the western fringe of the City this loop course finishes in Cockle Bay near the Aquarium.

There are some great finish points including Helm Bar, Tokio Bar, Cargo Bar in King Street Wharf or the Shelbourne Hotel on Sussex Street.

What to expect:

After a warm up at the start point, smaller teams (of around 6-8) leave in intervals. You are armed with a folder, map and the clue to the first of 4-5 checkpoints. At each destination we brief you on the point scoring challenges and activities. Once complete, you receive your clue to the next destination and the race unfolds.

The final challenge is popular with all teams, the famous “photo shoot”, where we give each team a digital camera and a list of photographs to compose and take. We send all these photos on to you via Dropbox. They are invariably the highlight and provides a great reminder of the day. (All photos throughout the website come from this task.)

Finishing at a close by venue (we help you choose), teams wind down with a few drinks whilst we tally up the scores. Shortly after the last team arrives there is a 5 minute presentation that highlights the great team performances and reflects on the group’s achievements before the winners are announced.

It is a simple event and enjoyed by every type of team.

USUALLY $1,700 + gst, NOW $1,500 for 20 or FEWER

Includes logistics, planning, equipment (including digital cameras to use), a modest prize
and 2 – 6 experienced facilitators.
